Washington County Health Partners, Inc. (WCHP) is a successful collaboration of more than 60 community organizations and 170 professionals and volunteers that identifies health risks and develops and implements strategies to improve the county’s health.
WCHP represents major stakeholders in the health of the community, who with the leadership of a local family foundation, Washington Federal Savings Bank, and The Washington Hospital, secured $150,000 in start-up funds. While many of these stakeholders are capable of addressing community health risks independently from a single perspective, WCHP provides a unique and proven forum through its volunteer-led, collaborative task forces to combine expertise and resources to create, coordinate, and implement comprehensive, non-duplicative, research-based strategies to effect measurable change.
